In recent years, given Covid, I have a lot more time to spend on understanding the world. I find myself gravitating more to the two "I"s actually and that is "Intelligence" and "Information (Entropy)", and they seem complementary actually.

Recently, I came across a video on Demis Hassabis (my academic idol!) as well, and inside the video he mentioned that there are two fields worth studying, they are neuroscience and physics, which more or less ties in with the two "I"s that I will be pursuing/researching on. Below is the video.  :)

Similar to Deepmind, I will love to work on solving intelligence and working to understand entropy/information.

Intelligence
As a start, I will start to breakdown what is intelligence. Wikipedia has provided the breakdown per below.

  • Abstraction
  • Logic
  • Understanding (I actually have started thinking about this, article here)
  • Self-Awareness
  • Learning
  • Emotional knowledge
  • Reasoning
  • Planning
  • Creativity
  • Critical Thinking
  • Problem Solving
  • Common Sense

I will start posting articles on each one of them, break them down further and see if it can be replicated on computer/machines, and finally how to put them together.

Information/Entropy

For this part, I currently have no idea how to pursue it at the moment but it should come to me in due time as I read up more on Entropy, and I feel there is a chance that it might converge with Intelligence later.

Concluding, it will be an exciting exercise for me and if any readers have come across interesting articles, please feel free to share them with me through my LinkedIn.
